Campus Housing

Home away from home — the place where your college journey begins.

Why Live On Campus?

Living on campus at Northwestern State University means more than just having a place to stay — it puts you at the heart of campus life, where classes, friendships, and opportunities surround you. Our vibrant, supportive residential communities offer comfort, connection, and a true sense of belonging, all just steps from academic resources, dining, and student activities.

All campus housing is managed by Campus Living Villages, our official housing partner. Housing applications are closed for the Fall 2026 Semester. If you have questions, please contact Campus Living Villages at (318) 214-5400.

Fall 2026 Move-In

Welcome to Northwestern State University! We’re excited to help you get settled into your new home.

Enter campus through the Jefferson Street entrance at your scheduled check-in time and head to Prather Coliseum. There, you’ll check in, pick up your room key, and receive everything you need before heading to your residence hall.

Volunteers will be available to help unload your belongings and guide you to your room. Be sure to label your items with your name and room number, and stop by a housing hospitality tent if you need assistance.

Before you arrive, remember to bring a wagon, dolly, or cart if you have one, stay hydrated, and review the list of prohibited items.

  • Being a veteran or non-traditional student
  • Documented financial or medical hardship

Students must apply for off-campus residency and submit appropriate documentation. Learn more and access forms at OneCard.
