Katie Anderson, a member of the Louisiana 4-H Food and Fitness Board, donated 57 healthful meals to the Northwestern State University Food Pantry. Anderson attended the national 4-H Healthy Living Summit in February, where she co-wrote a grant to help feed local students who are in a “food desert.” Since Covid-19 halted her plans for school-age children, she has used the resources to help where she can. Anderson has donated more than 150 meals to parish students in need. She is a senior at Natchitoches Central High School and is chair of the Louisiana 4-H Food and Fitness Board.  She is pictured with Reatha Cox, director of Student Affairs.
