Registered Nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The RN to BSN Completion Program at Northwestern State University of Louisiana allows registered nurses with Associate Degrees or diplomas in nursing to attain the baccalaureate degree. All required nursing courses (30 hours) and all of the required general education courses are offered via the Internet. Course objectives and clinical experiences are designed to meet the unique needs and interests of the registered nurse student. This program allows registered nurse students to complete theory and clinical degree requirements in their own community. Graduates of ACEN (Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing) accredited programs are awarded 38 hours of credit in lower level nursing courses. Transfer credit for general education courses is awarded on an individual basis.
Registered Nurses who would like to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree will pay a flat rate of $225 per credit hour, which includes tuition and fees for 30 credit hours of nursing courses and any general education courses that are needed.
The flat rate tuition cost of $225 per credit hour also applies to the general education courses that some students may need.
