NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Eugene P. Watson Library hosted the Spring 2021 edition of Watson’s Living Library Collection: Everyone Has a Story with panelists sharing their deeply personal experiences as individuals or parents of individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. The Living Library showcases the diversity of communities by validating life experiences of individuals via round table discussions, interviews, question and answer panels, live recordings, speakers and panel events. The Living Library’s educational impact is in using a social approach to educate students, breaking down silos on campus via multi-disciplinary presentation, enhancing the library collections and creating an inclusive environment to accept diverse communities.
