NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University Trumpet Ensemble and Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will present a concert on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public. Those attending are asked to follow university regulations and to wear a mask at all times in the building A livestream will be available at capansulaedu/livestream.

The NSU Trumpet Ensemble is directed by Galindo Rodriguez. The Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble is directed by Dr. Masahito Kuroda.

The Trumpet Ensemble will play  “Charamela Real, Acht Sonaten, #15”  edited by Edward Tarr, “Soundings” by Gary C. White featuring Joshua Monaghan and Ivan Lorduy Camargo, and “Someone to Watch Over Me” by George Gershwin and arranged by Ray Reach featuring Jack Stanley and Juan Arrietta.

Members of the Trumpet Ensemble are Stanley, George McKinnerney, Luis Cervantes, Griffin Howe, Blake Taggert, Dillon Humphries, Konnor Thibodeaux, Monaghan, Sadoc Silva Calderon, Ted Scott, Arrietta and Camargo.

The Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble will play the “William Tell Overture” by Gioacchino Rossini and arranged by Scanke, “Chaconne from The First Suite in Eb” by Gusstav Holst and arranged by Hori and the Main Theme from “Batman” by Danny Elfman  and arranged by Sutherland.

Members of the Euphonium-Tuba Ensemble are Jake English, Caleb Santora, Remi Blanchard, Ivan Longoria, Jeron Chretien, Austin Head, Emily Murphy, Abigail Kent, Dr. John Dunn (faculty), Barrett Hodgson, Jorge Vargas Martinez, Matthew Spencer, Jordan Elliott, Taylor Carrell, Taryn Lindsey, Kurt Brennan, Cyrus Blount, Patrick Murr, Evan Bryant, Andrew Blackmon, Lucy Stark, Richard Brumbelow, Ethan Maynard and alumnus Justin Garretson.
