What is Demon V.I.P.?

Demon V.I.P. stands for Demon Volunteers in Progress. It is a recognized student organization that allows students the opportunity to volunteer during Freshman Connection and plan and execute other events sponsored by the Office of First Year Experience. Events held include: Demon Days Welcome Week, Spring Welcome Back, Wellness Fest, and Parent and Family Programming.

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Demon V.I.P. could be the perfect organization for you to join! There are many different avenues for you to volunteer and be involved during your time at N.S.U. Even if you are not ready to join an organization, no need to worry, you can still volunteer during our events!

Criteria

To serve as a Demon V.I.P. you must be a full-time student at Northwestern State University and in good academic standing.

How long is Demon V.I.P.?

Demon V.I.P. lasts all year long! Each spring the Office of First Year Experience will hold an informational to start each new season. To continue being a part of the Demon Volunteers in Progress you will need to complete an application each spring.

Informational Sessions for the 2025 Demon V.I.P. season will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lucile M. Hendrick Room and Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Lucile M. Hendrick Room.

Deadline

Applications must be submitted to the Office of First Year Experience by Friday, March 7, 2025 at NOON utilizing the application found on Presence.
