NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University has named Amber Baysden its new Cenla Campus manager. Baysden will work closely with students, faculty, staff and Cenla Campus Executive Director Jason Parks to continue the collaborative work taking place within the Cenla Community.
“Our campus is fortunate to have Ms. Baysden joining the NSU Family,” Parks said. “We will work diligently to continue excellent service to our students while maintaining our level of commitment to our community and businesses.”
Baysden earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Louisiana College. She decided to become an educator and completed the alternative teacher certification program at Louisiana College. As a testament to her dedication of being a lifelong learner, Baysden earned a Master of Educational Leadership from Louisiana College and a Master of Art in Teaching from Louisiana Christian University. While completing coursework to earn her Master of Art in Teaching, Baysden also became a commissioned notary public.
Baysden said she is excited and delighted to be a part of the NSU Cenla Campus community and looks forward to working with and serving the students, faculty and staff. Her vision for the Cenla Campus is to create a student-centered learning environment where academics are paramount, each student feels welcomed and known, and community networking and involvement are robust and meet the needs of the Cenla community.
Northwestern State’s Cenla Campus serves the Central Louisiana area with associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, as well as certificate programs based on industry needs.
