7th Annual Engineering Technology Symposium

In celebration of October as National Manufacturing Month, Northwestern State University’s Department of Engineering Technology is hosting the 7th Annual Engineering Technology Symposium on Friday, October 4th, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The event will take place in the Student Union Hendrick Meeting Room. Regional manufacturers will be present to provide insights into their companies and discuss STEM career opportunities. Hands-on problem-solving activities will also be offered for high school and college students.

Since its inception in October 2017, the ET Symposium has served as a forum for academia, industry, and workforce development professionals to address pressing issues related to the future needs of our nation and their impact on industry and business. This year’s theme, “Navigate Engineering and Technological Challenges,” will continue to foster dialogue and collaboration among these key stakeholders.
