Jongile is a doctoral researcher originally from Cape Town, South Africa, and based in Amsterdam. He joined the Northwestern faculty two years ago. His work and travels have taken him through 64 countries across five continents, enriching his multilingual and multicultural insights into organizational behavior. Jongile’s research focuses on exploring the nuances of narcissism, humor and micro-aggressive behavior in the workplace. His study on microaggressions will be featured in a TED talk series to be held at Yale University in November. While he considers himself a cross-disciplinary scholar, his interests lie in organizational behavior in service industries like hospitality.

The Eta Mu Chapter of Phi Beta Delta Honor Society for International Scholars hosts the Language and Culture Series to expand all participants’ knowledge of diversified languages and cultures worldwide and support funding for Northwestern State University students participating in international studies.
