NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University culinary arts students are offering lunch to go from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, April 11. Plates are $20 each and can be picked up at the Culinary Arts Building behind the Student Union.
Students will prepare a Greek Chicken Bowl that will include a bed of citrus rice with savory Greek style chicken breasts, a variety of fresh vegetables including cucumber, tomato, red onions, and kalamata olives, crumbled feta and homemade Tzatziki sauce. Pita bread and hummus made from scratch and pistachio baklava (layers of flaky phyllo dough with crushed pistachios glazed in a sweet sugar syrup) will be included.
