NATCHITOCHES – The Natchitoches Central High School Beta Club, sponsored by Anne Stultz, collected books and school supplies to donate to NSU’s Early Childhood Education Cradle to College service-learning project. The books and school supplies they collected will be compiled into family literacy bags and donated to local preschool through 12th grade students. “Sustaining this project is important because data consistently show long-term benefits of strong family literacy programs for children, families, and communities,” said Dr. Michelle Fazio-Brunson, director of graduate programs in Early Childhood Education at Northwestern State University and Cradle to College project director. Beta students are, seated from left, Anna Hobart, Keara Nelson, Izzy Friday and Huntar Goings. On the back row are Brynn Landry, Bree Hale, Ayla Bostian, Kimberlee Moak and Emma Blanchard.
