NATCHITOCHES – Cabell Mouton, community engagement and affiliate services director for Keep Louisiana Beautiful, center, opened a regional affiliate meeting at Northwestern State University June 18 that included media training in social media marketing, press release writing and media interview training skills for affiliates in the central/northwest Louisiana region. Keep Louisiana Beautiful is a statewide network that provides tools and resources to prevent litter, reduce waste, increase recycling and protect Louisiana’s natural resources.  NSU is KLB’s regional affiliate since the organization expanded to include universities, as well as cities and municipalities, making them eligible for grants and other resources, according to Steve Gruesbeck, NSU’s director of service learning.
