Bryn Edmonston has been named manager of Northwestern State University’s Cenla campus.
Edmonston earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at through the Louisiana Scholars’ College at NSU, then earned a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education. She previously worked in University Recruiting and Athletics. She will be the point of contact for the Cenla campus.
“My journey with Northwestern has been a significant and fulfilling part of my life, and I am thrilled to continue contributing to this vibrant community,” she said. “In my previous roles I had the opportunity to work with students, faculty and staff and developed an understanding of the challenges and opportunities within higher education. My passion lies in helping students receive the support they need, and I am committed to doing this through collaboration with academic departments and campus resources.”
Edmonston joins the Cenla staff as the campus grows with the addition of a second building.
“This expansion will allow us to increase our student population and provide more resources and opportunities for our current students,” she said. “I look forward to connecting with our students, faculty, staff and local businesses. Building these relationships is key to creating a supportive and thriving campus community, and I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead as we work together to support and inspire our students.”
Her responsibilities will include counseling with students on academic and career opportunities, providing support during registration periods, coordinating necessary reporting and schedule of classes, assisting with test proctoring at the Cenla campus and coordinating with staff on a working relationship with the community.
