NATCHITOCHES — The NSU Music Academy is accepting students for the Spring 2025 semester.

The academy is under the direction of Northwestern music faculty Dr. John Price and Dr. Francis Yang and offers piano, guitar, percussion and voice lessons for students from age six as well as adults. Lessons are taught in person on NSU campus. Teachers at the academy are graduate and undergraduate music students studying at Northwestern.

Students will perform in an end-of-semester Spring Recital in Magale Recital Hall on May 5. Many music academy students also choose to participate in the NSU Music Festival where participants have the opportunity to play for judges and receive comments. Selected students will also have the opportunity to perform in an honors recital that afternoon.

Spring lessons begin the week of January 20.  To enroll or seek further information such as tuition rates and policies please visit nsula.edu/musicacademy. Any additional questions can be sent to Francis Yang at yangf@nsula.edu or John Price at pricejo@nsula.edu.
