NATCHITOCHES – The annual American Indian Crafts Day will be held at Northwestern State University on Saturday, Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Williamson Museum in Room 208 of Kyser Hall. Admission and parking is free. The public is invited to attend.
American Indian crafts people from Louisiana will demonstrate and sell their work A variety of baskets, file’, beadwork, wood carving, drums, leatherwork and other authentic crafts will be on sale from members of tribes. Artists will also do demonstrations. All proceeds go to the craftspeople.

American Indian Crafts Day is a way to show support for American Indian arts and culture. The event is held annually on the first Saturday in December. For over 30 years, this event has provided Louisiana Indians with a viable outlet to keep traditional crafts alive.
