NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s School of Biological and Physical Sciences will present “Astronomy: What’s Out There” at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22 at Natchitoches Parish Library, 450 Second St.
Professor Michael Scanlan will present a guided tour of the Solar System and beyond, showing planets, galaxies, nebulae and more. His talk will include interesting features, explain how the universe works, mysteries and answer questions.

The event is the second in a series of outreach programs that NSU’s School of Biological and Physical Sciences is hosting for the public. In March, Dr. Cynthia Doffitt will be present a workshop on parasites in Louisiana. In April, Dr. Yohaselly Santiago will present a workshop on nanotechnology.
