NSU Dance Company to present Modern in Motion IX Oct. 14-16

NATCHITOCHES – The NSU Dance Company will present “Modern in Motion IX” Oct. 14-16 in the Alumni Plaza adjacent to the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. Performance times are 6 p.m. with a 1 p.m. show on Oct. 16. Admission is free but donations will be accepted.

Cookie decorating class to begin Oct. 12

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will offer “Cookie Decorating with Royal Icing for Beginners” starting Tuesday, Oct. 12.

The class will be held on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. through Nov. 2 in the Culinary Arts Building near the Friedman Student Union. The fee is $75.

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic and Continuing Education will offer a Pick Up Your Brush painting class on Oct. 7 and 21 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of South Hall. The fee is $45 per session. Each class is a separate session.

Makenzie Scroggs of Marksville named Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet

NATCHITOCHES – Makenzie Scroggs of Marksville was named winner of the 64th Annual Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet Scholarship Program held Thursday at Northwestern State University.

Scroggs, a sophomore dance major, will represent Northwestern State in this summer’s Miss Louisiana Competition. She will receive more than $8,000 in scholarships and prizes.
