University Wide Student Support Programs

  • Student Support Services: The Student Support Services (SSS) project at Northwestern State, funded by a Federal TRIO grant, exists to eliminate barriers to graduation for 360 low income, first generation and disabled students through providing intensive, intrusive and effective academic and student services.

Students may apply to take a class to get credit for work experience and/or an internship. Options for credit include BUAD4910 (Internship/Field Experience), CIS 4300 (Collaborative Field Project), COOP1010 (Cooperative Occupational Experience I), and COOP3010 (Cooperative Occupational Experience II). The type of work experience or internship determine the class that needs to be taken.
