NSU honors international student graduates

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s International Student Resource Center hosted a recognition program for graduating international students May 10.  The graduates were recognized for their academic achievements and participated in a panel discussion about their experiences at NSU, followed by a sash ceremony.

Department of English, Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies hosts writing, coloring contests

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Department of English, Foreign Languages and Cultural Studies organized two writing contests for youngsters this spring. A St. Patrick’s Day writing contest for junior high students throughout Natchitoches Parish took place in March followed by an Easter writing and coloring contest for kindergardeners-third graders and fourth-fifth graders in April.

Alpha Lambda Delta inducts 114 new members

NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University chapter of Alpha Lambda Delta welcomed 114 new members at the annual induction ceremony held recently at the A.A. Fredericks Auditorium. DeFord designs Cinco de Mayo pen

NATCHITOCHES – A Cinco de Mayo mini-pocket fountain pen designed by Northwestern State University Professor of Art Matt DeFord will debut Wednesday, May 4.  DeFord was commissioned to design the Cinco de Mayo pen for Endless Pens, an online pen store for luxury writing tools, accessories and more.
