NSU announces Homecoming schedule

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University will celebrate Homecoming Festivities Thursday, Oct. 21-Saturday, Oct. 23. Events will include several induction programs, tailgating and a half-time presentation of the Homecoming Honor Court.  This year’s theme is “Rock ‘Em Demons.”

Painting class to be taught Oct. 7, 21

Makenzie Scroggs of Marksville named Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet

NATCHITOCHES – Makenzie Scroggs of Marksville was named winner of the 64th Annual Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet Scholarship Program held Thursday at Northwestern State University.

Scroggs, a sophomore dance major, will represent Northwestern State in this summer’s Miss Louisiana Competition. She will receive more than $8,000 in scholarships and prizes.

NSU Jazz Orchestra to perform Oct. 6

NATCHITOCHES – The NSU Jazz Orchestra will present a concert on Wednesday, October 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.
