Young alum creates Gorham Minority Social Work Scholarship

NATCHITOCHES – A recent Northwestern State University graduate has created a scholarship intended to assist minority students pursuing a degree in social work.  The Gorham Minority Social Work Scholarship will be presented to a sophomore, junior or senior level student majoring in social work with a 3.0 or better GPA.

Nurse anesthesia program earns full accreditation

NSU Foundation seeks funding for STEM professorship

NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University Foundation is seeking to establish a second STEM professorships through matching funds available from the University of Louisiana System Foundation.

Demon Crew Women’s 4+ rowing team wins big in Tennessee regatta

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s rowing team competed in the Oak Ridge (Tennessee) Invitational May 22 with the Women’s Varsity 4+ winning the final, beating out the University of Georgia, Virginia Tech, Florida State and the University of Illinois.
