Dedication of Seven Oaks Stage postponed

 

NATCHITOCHES – The dedication of the Seven Oaks Stage at Northwestern State University scheduled for Friday, April 23 has been postponed due to expected inclement weather. The ceremony will be rescheduled for the fall 2021 semester, according to NSU Student Government Association President Nicholas Hopkins.

White Memorial Scholarship at Northwestern State University is now fully endowed at the $10,000 level thanks to the efforts of family and friends.  The final donation of $1,370 from the St. Mary’s Cooking for a Cause Club pushed the scholarship to the endowed level. Winners of NSU-Argus Award for Excellence in Creative Writing announced

NATCHITOCHES – Shari Wilson of Florien has been named the winner of the first NSU-Argus Award for Excellence in Creative Writing. Lily Bedoya of Alexandria was second and Ruben E. Smith of Clayton was third.
