NSU will honor 2019 Hall of Distinguished Educators class

Kurti to perform major work by Paganini Oct. 15

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State Professor of Violin Andrej Kurti will perform Nicolo Paganini’s “Twenty-Four Caprices for Solo Violin, op. 1” in a concert at NSU on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Alumnus James Palmer wins Louisiana Film Prize

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State alumnus James Harlon Palmer won the 2019 Louisiana Film Prize this past weekend in Shreveport. Palmer, who lives in Mansfield, won $50,000 for his film “Anniversary.” He wrote, produced and co-starred in the film.
