Sixteen new members inducted into Phi Beta Delta chapter

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Eta Mu chapter of Phi Beta Delta, the honor society for international scholars, inducted 16 new members April 21 in a program led by chapter president Dr. Weiwen Liao.

Faculty and staff inductees are Dr. Charles Pellegrin, Shea Montgomery, Dr. Erick Kigen, Dr. Charles King, Dr. Francene Lemoine and Valentina Herazo-Alvarez.

School of Education hosts apple pinning for teacher candidates

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s School of Education hosted an apple pinning ceremony for future educators who are now teacher candidates.  Students eligible for the pinning are education majors who have completed 30 hours of coursework while maintaining a grade point average of 2.5 or better.
