Graduating cadet takes U.S. Army officer oath

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University ROTC Cadet Dylan H. Trueblood of Natchitoches took the oath of a commissioned officer of the U.S. Army Thursday in conjunction with commencement exercises. Yankowski Retrospective will open Jan. 17

NATCHITOCHES – Work by retiring Northwestern State University Professor of Art Michael Yankowski will be featured in a retrospective exhibition Jan. 17-Feb. 21 in Orville Hanchey Gallery.

An artist’s reception will take place from 5-8 pm. Saturday, Jan. 28.

Gallery Hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon Friday.

Notary Public Exam Prep Course to start Feb. 14

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning & Global Engagement will offer a Notary Public Exam Prep Course starting Tuesday, Feb. 14. Class time is 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday until May 18. The early bird fee is $430 until Feb. 8 and $450 after that date.
