The Psychology department including the Graduate Psi Chi chapter took on a service project for Fall 2018. They were able to donate a sizable amount of food to the NSU Student Food Pantry!

During this spooky season, a few faculty and graduate students dressed in costume for Halloween.
The Psychology Department’s very own Jourdan Waddell was selected to be Miss Lady of the Bracelet.
We are so proud of her and wish her luck this year and at the next Miss Louisiana Pageant.

As a part of the Demon Days events welcoming our freshman to campus, the Psychology department donated the Super Semester Starter basket for the Pack the pantry Bingo. In it you can find all the items necessary to survive college like snacks and coloring book! As always Fork ’em Demons!
On August 13th, 2018 Northwestern State University recognized one faculty member from each college with Excellence in Teaching Awards, which demonstrate a commitment to students in and outside of the classroom. For the Gallaspy College of Education and Human Development, our very own Psychology professor, Mr. Joseph Biscoe was honored with the award!

On April 12th, 2018 NSU held its annual Research Day where students and faculty present on research they have conducted. The Psychology department had an amazing turn out with several of our graduate and undergraduate students presenting their research. Also Dr. Patrice Moulton served as the keynote speaker presenting on her experience/research in Nepal.
On May 1st, 2018 the College of Education and Human Development honored some of its outstanding students with awards for their hard work and dedication to their fields. Here are this year’s recipients of the Psychology awards.
