The Chamber Choir will present the program they will perform on Feb. 22 at the Southern Region Conference of the American Choral Director’s Association. Cummins said the choir wanted to perform the works for family, friends and supporters of the choir. The program is titled “¡Canta!” and is focused on the idea of the enjoyment of singing found throughout the world through folk and traditional music. It will feature music from Cuba, Sweden, Spain, The Philippines, South Africa and the United States.
According to Cummins, the choir began working on these selections in September and have continued to refine and polish the music throughout the fall and early spring.
