M.Ed. in curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in School Librarian (504H)
The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in School Librarian is designed for elementary, middle or secondary teachers who desire to earn a master’s degree while also obtaining certification as a school librarian. This program enhances their instructional expertise as well as beginning the coursework to add a school librarian endorsement to their Louisiana teaching certificate.
Prerequisites for this program include a valid teaching license as well as admission to the graduate school.
Degree requirements for this program and concentration include 12 hours of foundation coursework; 12 hours of support and application coursework; and 12 hours of concentration coursework. Additional coursework are required to complete the LIS certification.
