New format! Bring your own laptop!
We are introducing a new face to face format, where you will bring your own device for guidance and practice with the applications being taught. This month, we are featuring PowerPoint Recording in the BYOL format. You will register using the Microsoft Form link below, and at the time of the presentation, you will bring your laptop with you to the training lab in South Hall. If you would like to see other workshops presented in this format, or if you would like us to come present to your departments, please let us know. You can email Emily Perritt (emily@nsula.edu) with ideas or requests.

Would you like an easy (and free) tool to make your lecture presentations more engaging to your students? PowerPoint is equipped with valuable tools to record lectures and add video to any presentation. In this workshop, you will learn how to record using PowerPoint.

Assessment & Measurement
In this workshop, which is part of the Master Course Creator series (introducing topics related to the design of online courses), we will discuss the importance of alignment between your objectives and your activities and assessments. We explain how to ensure alignment of assessments with course and module objectives. To earn the badge for the workshop, you will complete an assignment that shows your ability to create effective assessments that demonstrate the skills that you are teaching.

Managing Your Gradebook
You can set up your gradebook two ways, total points possible or weighted. In this workshop we will cover the benefits and challenges of each. You will also learn how to easily calculate student progress, enter grades, and view overall grades so that you and your students can track progress during the course.

Test Security in Moodle
In this workshop, we will review the various ways to make a test/quiz secure to administer. From the settings within the quiz settings of Moodle, to the use of Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor, to the use of third party vendors like ProctorU, we will show how you can keep an exam protected as best as possible.

Creating Turnitin Assignments
In this workshop, you will be introduced to creating Turnitin assignments within Moodle. You will be shown how to create the assignment, how students will submit, how to check the submission for originality, and how to grade the submission.
