NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University Alumni Association will host a Golden Jubilee to honor the Class of 1972 on May 6-7. All graduates of that year are invited to attend and participate in a ceremony to receive their 50-year diploma.
“NSU will welcome back the Class of 1972 for two enjoyable days of laughter, memories and reconnecting with friends,” said Danielle Antoon Cobb, associate director of Alumni Affairs.
The weekend reunion will start with check-in at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 6 in the Student Union, followed by a campus tour, a Mix and Mingle with classmates and a luncheon in the Student Union Ballroom. After lunch, graduates will receive caps and gowns and will be bused to Magale Recital Hall for their 50-year commencement ceremony. After the ceremony, the group will have free time until a 6:30 p.m. reception in Orville Hanchey Gallery.
Saturday’s event is the 50+ luncheon in the Student Union Ballroom in which all graduates of 50 and more years are invited.
The cost is $80 per graduate and $65 for each additional guest(s). Checks can be made payable to NSU Alumni Association with Golden Jubilee in the notation.
