ALEXANDRIA – Northwestern State University’s Office of Economic Development & University Advancement will host a Lunch and Learn that will “help leaders learn how AI is reshaping industries, creating new possibilities and ushering in an era of innovation and transformation,” according to organizers.

“Navigating the Word of Artificial Intelligence” will take place from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.  Wednesday, Oct. 30 in Room 164 of NSU’s Cenla Campus, 1410 Neel Kearby Boulevard, Alexandria.  Northwestern State grad Monty Chicola will speak about AI and a pioneering AI programming course he will instruct next spring in partnership with IBM and NSU’s School of Business. “IBM Power Systems Programming with Emphasis on AI in Business Applications” is a course designed to equip both traditional students and professionals with advanced AI and programming skills.

Chicola is the president and founder of Real Vision Software, Inc., an IBM Business Partner Company. For over 30 years, Real Vision Software has developed Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions that enable businesses to digitize and organize documents for later retrieval. As a project designer within the walls of IBM’s Artificial Intelligence, Chicola is helping design how businesses will interact with AI. The course is beneficial for individuals interested in the future of design and not getting left behind.

Complimentary lunch will be served. Seating is limited 25 guests.  Registration and event details are available here: here.
