NATCHITOCHES – The NSU Jazz Combos will present their annual “Jazz for Pups” concert on Monday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. The concert is a benefit in support of local rescue dogs.
Admission is free but donations to Friends All United for Natchitoches Animals (FAUNA) would be appreciated. Items accepted for donation include dog food, treats, toys and cash or check. Representatives from FAUNA will be on hand to collect donations.
The NSU Jazz Combos include the Monday Night Jazz Combo and the Wednesday Night Jazz Trio. Each group will perform both traditional jazz and holiday music.
The Monday Night Jazz Combo includes Josue Bustillo, Taylor Pettus and Colin Stevens on alto saxophone, Jessica Dubose and Francisco Riego on trombone, David Berrocal on piano and Ty Lewis on drums.
Members of the Wednesday Night Jazz Trio are Mario Gomez on piano, Jonathan Chaparro on bass and Adam Trupp on drums. Pettus and Alex Guillory will be special guests.
