NATCHITOCHES – Nick Ward, a graduating senior from John Curtis Christian School in River Ridge, signed to participate as part of the Northwestern State University Fishing Team this fall. Last month, Ward and his partner won the Bayou Segnette Tournament to qualify for the state tournament. The NSU Fishing Team, a club sport, is open to all students interested in competitive bass fishing and competes in FLW, B.A.S.S. and Collegiate Bass circuits. NSU Fishing Team scholarships are made possible and funded by the Dylan Kyle Poche Memorial Scholarship fund.
