NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University has named Lia Henton manager of the university’s Cenla campus in Alexandria. Henton will work closely with students, faculty, staff and Cenla Campus Executive Director Jason Parks to continue the collaborative work taking place within the Cenla community and beyond.
“Our campus is excited to have Ms. Henton join the NSU Family,” Parks said. “We will work diligently to continue excellent service to our students while maintaining our level of commitment to our community and business partners.”
Henton earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in business at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was influenced by her grandmother and parents to go into education and worked with Career Compass as a college and career coach. Through those experiences, she realized she had a passion to help students discover or reach their postsecondary and career goals.
Henton is excited and honored to be serving NSU Cenla as the campus manager. She enjoys helping people accomplish their goals, and she is looking forward to serving the students, faculty and staff at NSU Cenla.
Northwestern State’s Cenla Campus serves the Central Louisiana area with associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs, as well as certificate programs based on industry needs. The academic facility is located within the England Industrial Airpark at 1410 Neel Kearby Blvd. in Alexandria.
