Several students were named All Stars in the annual Demon Math Classic hosted by Northwestern State University’s Department of Mathematics.  Students competed as individuals and as teams in the quiz-bowl style competition.  Students selected as All Stars each received a trophy, A TI-NSpire CX CAS graphing calculator and a scholarship to NSU.  On the front row from left are Dr. Frank Serio, head of NSU’s Mathematics Department; Reanna Lovette, Pineville High School; Riley Hudnall, North Desoto High School; Bryan Chen, Natchitoches Magnet School; Masen Starks, Zwolle High School, and Sharee Mims and Lacy Bennette representing competition sponsor Sabine State Bank.
