Division of Mathematics

NSU Mathematics provides you with a comprehensive education that prepares you for graduate school or immediate employment in a math-related field. In addition to a classic degree in mathematics, we offer various concentrations to suit your interests and goals. We invite you to contact us today to further explore your study of mathematics.

Math and Math Ed. Majors in need of financial assistance are given significant funding through the generosity of the NSU Foundation.  Math and Math Ed. Majors must be currently enrolled full-time in course work that pertains to the major and must also have at least a 2.0 GPA to be considered eligible.  We encourage every Math and Math Ed. Major to apply for our Foundation Scholarship.

Computer classrooms and laboratories/learning centers are available for undergraduate research, classroom teaching, computer aided instruction, and tutorial assistance.

Students can receive assistance from our trained peer-tutors in the Math Lab. No appointment is necessary, and walk-ins are welcome. This facility is in Kyser Hall, Room 450B (directly across from the east elevator on the 4th floor).
