NATCHITOCHES – The entire city of Natchitoches, including Northwestern State University, is currently under a boil advisory due to a low pressure problem caused by the winter weather conditions in the area over the past several days.

Consumers should boil water for one full minute before consuming, making ice, brushing teeth or using for food preparation. Residents can shower and wash hair with tap water.

Residents will be notified once the boil advisory has been lifted.
