Natchitoches – Northwestern State University’s School of Education hosted a ribbon-cutting for the new Center for Excellence in Teaching, which will serve aspiring teachers through mentoring, coaching, workshops, service projects and well-being awareness. The CET is located in Room 113 C of the Teacher Education Center.  Joining the ribbon-cutting were, from left, Dr. Neeru Deep, interim dean of the College of Education and Human Development; NSU President James Genovese, Dr. Katrina Jordan, director of the School of Education, and Dr. Greg Handel, executive vice president and provost. Development of the Center for Excellence in Teaching was supported by Weyerhaeuser and the International Paper Foundation.
