NATCHITOCHES – The NSU Jazz Orchestra will be on the road wrapping two concert dates around a performance at the 54th Annual Loyola Jazz Ensemble Festival.
The ensemble, directed by Galindo Rodriguez, will play at Jennings High School on March 1 for a group of high school, middle school and beginning band students. Later that day, they will play at the Loyola Jazz Festival which will include jazz ensembles from around the region and country and receive a clinic from one of the adjudicators. On March 2, they will perform at Baton Rouge Arts Market at 5th and Main promoting current artists and jazz.
The NSU Jazz Orchestra is a past Grand Sweepstakes winner at the festival.
