NATCHITOCHES – An online Mentor Teacher Training Program will be offered through Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning & Global Engagement and the NSU School of Education starting Sept. 6.
This program consists of two courses and when combined are the equivalent of the requirement for the Mentor Teacher Professional Development Program. The courses will be offered on a traditional semester basis enrolling new cohorts each term. Courses will be taught by a current practitioner who has earned the State Mentor credential.
The course is designed to prepare participants for the Bloomboard Assessments. Achieving the credential requires an assessment by BloomBoard which requires an extra fee not included in course fees.
