NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23 to introduce James. T. Genovese as the university’s 21st president. The event will take place in the Sylvan Friedman Student Union Ballroom and will be streamed at www.nsula.edu/livestream and https://www.facebook.com/NorthwesternState/ The public and media are invited to attend.
Genovese, who has served as an associate justice on the Louisiana Supreme Court, was named the university’s president July 18 and will assume office in August.
Tuesday’s program will include recognition of local and regional elected officials, figures from Genovese’s personal life, special presentations to the newly elected president and comments from Genovese. Following the program, Genovese will be available for media interviews and photos.
