NATCHITOCHES – All classes on all Northwestern State University campuses Monday, Feb. 22 will be virtual. Faculty and staff except for personnel providing essential on-site services as determined by their supervisors will continue to work remotely. An update on classes and work schedules for the remainder of the week will be issued Sunday afternoon, Feb. 21.
Because the city of Natchitoches water pressure has not been stabilized, residential students are not encouraged to return to campus until they receive notification from the university.
As of Friday, Feb. 19, water has not been restored to University Place 2. The university continues to work to accommodate residential students who remain on campus by providing warming stations and other amenities at University Columns clubhouse, University Place 1 clubhouse and the Varnado Hall ballroom.

According to the City of Natchitoches, water pressure will remain low or possibly zero for several days and the city is currently under a full system boil advisory. Residents should boil water for 1 full minute before consuming it. Those who do have water should conserve it.
