Rubrics

If you have ever struggled with the details of how to grade an assignment, this workshop is for you. We will discuss how to create a rubric that will help students understand the assignment, while also making grading easier for you. Bring a rubric or assignment to this workshop and you will receive feedback that you can apply immediately to improve your course.

Microsoft Clipchamp

In this workshop, we will demonstrate some of the tools of Clipchamp, a free video editor that is built into Windows 11. Topics discussed will include an orientation to working with the timeline, bringing media files into the program, cutting pieces of video, adding transitions, and screen recording within Clipchamp. We will also demonstrate how to export video out of the program and upload to Stream to add captioning and share with students.

H5P Interactive Video

H5P is a versatile tool that allows you to create interactive assignments for online classes. In this workshop, we will focus on creating an Interactive Video assignment, in which we will add text and quiz questions over a video file. We will also demonstrate how to add an H5P activity to a Moodle class.

Microsoft Bookings

Microsoft Bookings is a tool that connects with your Outlook calendar, Teams, or Webex to allow individuals to schedule appointments with you during selected timeframes. Learn how to set up your Bookings application and to share the link so that others may connect with you.

Microsoft Stream has recently added interactivity features back to its toolset. In this workshop, we will demonstrate how to add callouts and quiz questions to your Stream videos to increase student engagement with your content.
