Congratulations to Scholars’ juniors Ashley Eubanks (Scientific Inquiry) and Kaci Waguespack (Humanities & Social Thought) on their induction into the Purple Jacket Honor Society.

Begun in 1927, Purple Jacket Honor Society is a women’s honor society that was the first honor society established at Northwestern State University. There are only 31 active members at any time, and applicants must be at the junior or senior level and have served as a leader in another campus organization to be considered for membership. Dedicated to community service and serving as the official hostesses of NSU, members must demonstrate good scholarship, good character, and a spirit of cooperation and unselfishness in serving Northwestern State.
