NATCHITOCHES – Rising seniors in high school can submit applications to enroll at Northwestern State University for the Fall 2023 semester.

“The sooner students apply, the more scholarships and financial assistance opportunities may be available,” said Vanner Erikson, interim director of Enrollment and director of Recruiting.

Students who score a 20 or above on the ACT and have a grade point average of 3.0 or better will automatically be awarded scholarships, with the amount increasing for higher scores. NSU will also match other schools’ scholarships based on a cost percentage basis.

“We encourage all rising seniors to go ahead and submit an application to NSU.  We will follow up with each and every applicant and assist them in navigating the enrollment process,” Erikson said.

Financial aid information is available at http://financialaid.nsula.edu or by departmental email at nsufinaid@nsula.edu.

Information on what NSU has to offer, the application process, tuition, fees and more is available at https://www.nsula.edu/futurestudents/.  Prospective students can contact recruiters and schedule either an in-person or virtual tour.

“It’s not too early for high school juniors and seniors to start exploring options for college,” Erikson said. “NSU has a focus on developing relationships with prospective students through school visits, events, and personalized campus tours. When students step onto Northwestern’s campus, they already feel like a part of the Demon family.”
