NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s ROTC program donated new flags to the NSU Elementary Lab School and hosted a workshop for students to learn about flag etiquette, including the proper way to handle, fold and raise the American flag. Cadets formally presented the flags to 4-H Club officers, who raised the new flags and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. 4-H Sponsor Lisa Wiggins said the flags are the first thing students and families see when approaching the school and they present a positive image for visitors. Students presented the officers with certificates of appreciation and acknowledged that the event took place during statewide 4-H Week.
