Northwestern State University ROTC Cadets Loren Higgenbotham, Jaimie Dodds and Peyton Bordelon took the oath to contract as a U.S. Army officer during the ROTC program’s activation ceremony Aug. 26. Taking the oath indicates that the individuals are committed to the path of officership, that they are medically and physically qualified to commission and are contracting to meet the remaining requirements to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Professor of Military Science LTC Joshua Drake issued the oath.
