NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University Assistant Professor of Theatre Richard St. Peter will be doing a webinar on directing for the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) Friday at 1 p.m.
The title of the webinar is “Directing: Explore Directing Utilizing Shakespeare.” St. Peter will use Gertrude’s speech in Act. IV, scene vii of “Hamlet” and looks at the directing process and choices made to stage the scene for a production eventually featured in American Theatre Magazine.
St. Peter is an award-winning stage director, producer and educator with nearly 20 years experience in academic and professional theatre. He earned an MFA in stage directing from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from Texas Tech University.
