Student Code of Conduct
The Northwestern State University of Louisiana Student Code of Conduct outlines the University’s expectations regarding student behavior by promoting responsible freedom for all students. The purpose of the Code is to promote integrity, civility, respect, and accountability within the University community. The Code encourages responsible decision-making, safeguards all University community members’ health and welfare, and protects University property.
Each University student is responsible for becoming familiar with the Code, which references University Due Process, Rights and Responsibilities, rules, policies, and procedures applicable to students. The Code outlines the expectations for behavior and conduct in the Northwestern State community. As a student, you are expected to excel in the classroom, engage in socially responsible behavior, and model exceptional conduct, character, and citizenship on campus, online, and beyond.
