NATCHITOCHES – Milayah Ealey, a sophomore from Gonzales, discussed research on unstable molecular compounds during the poster session of Northwestern State University’s 38th annual Research Day April 3.  Ealey’s research was  conducted with Duminda Samarakoon and Dr. Chad Thibodeaux, professor of chemistry. Ealey is majoring in physical science and microbiology with a concentration in biochemistry and pre-med.  Research Day, coordinated by the NSU Research Council chaired by Dr. Betsey Cochran, featured dozens of concurrent presentations from all academic disciplines and were streamed so that off-campus students could participate.
